Mino Cinelu World Jazz Ensemble

World-renowned artist Mino Cinelu has a new project: The World Jazz Ensemble – (trio + tuba and special guests).“Acquainted” throughout the years with such prestigious musicians, like: Miles Davis, Kate Bush, Sting, Herbie Hancock, Youssou N’Dour (to name a few…), the virtuoso percussionist has created a unique sounding mélange that unifies World, Folk and Jazz orchestrations. Jamshied Sharifi (Keys, Vocal), Mamadou Ba (Bass) and Bob Stewart (Tuba, etc) are joining the singer-poly-instrumentalist-composer  for this distinctive “voyage” filled with songs, instrumental pieces and rhythm.


JAMSHIED SHARIFI:          Keys, Accordion, Voice and Percussion

Jamshied is a classically-trained pianist and an authority in the Hollywood world of film scoring (Thomas Crown Affair, Rugrats, etc..), arranger for Ray Charles and Laurie Anderson, to name a few, Broadway orchestration for Sting, sings, plays keys and percussion.

MAMADOU BA:                   Bass

Mamadou is a prominent bassist from Sénégal, he has worked with Harry Belafonte, Archie Sheep, Angelique Kidjo and Regina Carter, to name a few.

* BOB STEWART:                  Tuba, Voice, Percussion

Grammy-nominated tuba player, he worked with Charles Mingus, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin. He is also featured on Ken Burns’ award winning documentary “ Jazz On Winter Day”.
